I have had what most would consider a successful career in finance. I’ve held senior leadership roles in corporate banking and I still own a successful finance brokerage business headquartered in Sydney. But this “success” came at a cost. 10-12 years of chronic stress, terrible sleep, drinking too much, yo-yo dieting and over exercising. This is not what success looks like to me. This isn’t thriving. It is barely surviving.
My experience was that to be “successful” in finance, as in many other industries I’m sure, required being the first in the office and the last to leave. A continuous cycle of trying to ‘spin’ results on conference calls, performance management and covering your arse. It meant drinking, often to excess, in the evenings with colleagues and senior leaders. Work becomes part of your identity because you give up everything else. If you weren’t burnt out you weren’t working hard enough. That was and probably still is the culture today in many workplaces.
Life is so short. We were not put on the Earth to live like this. I want to help others find balance and vitality, prioritise their health and live a more fulfilling life. Helping others become better versions of themselves and realise a healthier, happier and more authentic life is what success looks like to me now.

Vitality is the state of being full of life and energy. It is exuberant physical, mental and emotional strength. It is living life as an adventure, feeling alive, having curiosity and interest in the world, hope and optimism, gratitude, and the capacity to love and be loved.
Conventional medicine defines health as the absence of disease, to me health is so much more than that. I don’t just want to be disease free, I want to experience vitality of health, where all my systems are operating at their optimum levels so that I’m full of energy and reduce my risk of preventable disease.
Our mental and emotional health has a profound effect on our physical health meaning that vitality of health cannot be achieved without paying attention to both. Stress, unprocessed emotions, disturbed sleep and other modern day issues significantly contribute to preventable disease. The mind-body relationship is so intricate and often inseparable, I see them as one integrated unit – you cannot have vitality in health without both mind and body thriving.
Self-actualisation is to become the best we can be and fulfil our true potential as human beings. This is thought to be the pinnacle of human motivation. Something we all strive for once all our other, more basic, needs are met. We are all capable of achieving this but most can’t do it alone. I will help you on that journey. Together we rise.
